Job Description:
- Support the development, testing, fabrication, and fielding of highly complex military systems.
- Research, plan, design, develop, modify, and evaluate electrical and electronic systems and components.
- Utilize modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures.
- Evaluate vendor capabilities, technologies, and products to support program requirements.
- Perform electrical system design for military platforms including combat vehicles, weapon systems, and guided munitions.
- Conduct engineering analysis of electrical components, subsystems, and systems.
- Support design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting activities under the direction of project engineering leadership.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years with a Master's Degree.
- Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis.
- Experience creating, reading, and interpreting electrical schematics and interconnect drawings.
- Experience developing technical documentation including drawings, reports, and engineering analyses.
- Ability to create and manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
- Experience performing circuit simulation using PSpice or LTspice.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve moderately complex electrical design and development problems.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with military and commercial electrical design standards.
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, and LabVIEW.
- Knowledge of C, C#, or LabWindows/CVI.
- Experience with OrCAD, Visio, and PCB schematic/layout tools.
- Familiarity with designing electrical systems for high EMI environments.
- Systems Engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
- Experience designing wiring harnesses and cable assemblies.
- Experience integrating FPGAs and electronic control logic.
- Experience developing power generation, conversion, and energy storage systems.
- Experience with ammunition handling/loading systems, autoloaders, or large-caliber rammer systems.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in
Electrical Engineering or a related field with
3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree with
2+ years of related experience.
