Job description

NOBODY is a social-first agency built for complex challenges, serving leading brands, nonprofits, and the Fortune 500, with deep work across AI, cybersecurity, defense, F1, education, and other sectors defining what's next. We believe social is everybody's business: it shapes the signals, decisions, and actions moving across an entire organization. Our average client partnership lasts more than five years because we operate as a true extension of our clients' teams.

All of it moves through three disciplines. Insights surfaces the opportunities and threats that shape decisions, grounded in real conversations, not assumptions. Strategy maps those insights to our clients' internal stakeholders, driving the decisions that shape the brief. Activation brings that brief to life in market. We're hiring a senior leader to help guide and evolve that discipline.

THE ROLE

Activation is where NOBODY translates strategy into impact. It is the discipline where the work goes live. You will lead an established, multidisciplinary team spanning campaign strategy, social-first creative, creator and influencer partnerships, paid media, and content production. You will be accountable for the quality, execution, and performance of activation work across a portfolio of clients, ensuring every deliverable reflects NOBODY's standards.

Your job is not to build this practice from scratch. It is to strengthen it, improve how it operates, and help scale what already works. You will partner closely with Insights and Strategy leadership to ensure activation work is intelligence-led, strategically grounded, and executed at a consistently high level.

You will serve as a senior client advisor, leading engagements, guiding teams through complex challenges, and helping clients translate strategy into outcomes in market. You will also work closely with the Managing Director, Activation to shape the future of the practice. That includes contributing to business development efforts, helping evolve our activation offerings and methodologies, identifying opportunities for innovation, and strengthening how Activation operates across the agency. We're looking for someone who wants to help build the discipline, not just deliver the work.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Client Delivery

Oversee senior client relationships from scope through delivery. Ensure activation work meets NOBODY's standards for quality, performance, and client experience. Lead complex engagements, proactively identify risks and opportunities, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.

Campaign Strategy

Partner with Insights and Strategy to translate intelligence into activation plans. Guide the development of social-first campaigns, grassroots advocacy programs, community engagement efforts, and real-time response strategies. Ensure audience, channel, messaging, sequencing, and measurement decisions are aligned and effective.

Social-First Creative

Lead a creative team that understands how narratives form and spread across modern platforms. Maintain a standard for work that is platform-native, audience-aware, and built for participation.

Creators & Influencers

Oversee creator and influencer programs, ensuring recommendations are aligned to client objectives and grounded in credibility, relevance, and performance. Continue evolving how NOBODY approaches creator engagement across industries and use cases.

Paid Media

Guide paid media strategy across client engagements. Ensure targeting, measurement, testing, and investment decisions support broader client objectives while maintaining strong operational discipline.

Content

Lead the teams responsible for owned social content, executive visibility programs, employee advocacy initiatives, and real-time activation. Ensure content is strategically aligned and executed with consistency across clients.

Team Leadership

Manage, develop, and retain Activation team members. Establish clear standards, coach emerging leaders, improve delivery processes, and create an environment where strong work can scale. Help identify capability gaps and contribute to hiring, onboarding, and professional development efforts.

Practice Development

Partner with the Managing Director, Activation on business development, activation offerings, and new growth opportunities. Contribute to the evolution of NOBODY's activation methodologies, frameworks, and points of view. Identify emerging platform shifts, technologies, tools, and operating models that can improve client outcomes and strengthen the practice. Help develop scalable processes, standards, and ways of working that increase the effectiveness of the Activation team.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 8-12 years leading integrated, social-first campaigns within an agency, consultancy, or in-house environment.

  • Experience leading activation work in complex, stakeholder-rich environments preferred, including B2B, corporate affairs, technology, trade associations, public affairs, advocacy, or reputation-driven communications. You're comfortable operating in categories where trust, influence, and narrative matter as much as awareness, and where the audience extends far beyond consumers.

  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams spanning strategy, creative, content, creators, and media.

  • Deep understanding of modern social platforms, creator ecosystems, paid media, and audience behavior.

  • Strong client leadership skills with experience advising senior stakeholders through complex communications, reputation, or marketing challenges.

  • Able to independently lead large engagements from planning through execution while maintaining high standards for quality and performance.

  • Strong operator who can improve processes, scale teams, and create clarity across complex workstreams.

  • Analytically grounded and comfortable using performance data and intelligence to guide decisions.

  • A bias for action. You move quickly, solve problems, and proactively improve the work around you.

  • An excellent people leader who develops talent, raises standards, and creates accountability without creating bureaucracy.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Activation teams produce consistently excellent work across clients, channels, and disciplines.

  • Clients view you as a trusted advisor and rely on your judgment during high-stakes moments.

  • Engagements run smoothly, profitably, and with minimal leadership intervention.

  • Teams grow stronger under your leadership and emerging leaders develop into future practice leaders.

  • Insights, Strategy, and Activation work together seamlessly because of your partnership and influence.

  • Activation methodologies, processes, and standards improve because of your contributions.

  • New business teams actively seek your involvement because your perspective increases win rates and client confidence.

  • The Activation practice is stronger, more scalable, and better positioned for growth because of the systems, talent, and ideas you've helped build.

  • You operate with significant independence and ownership, creating leverage for the Managing Director and agency leadership rather than dependency on them.
