Job description

TITLE: Senior DevSecOps Engineer

LOCATION: Sterling, VA (Relocation assistance considered)

CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, Onsite

POSITION SUMMARY

MGS is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and sustain CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and DevSecOps workflows within secure cloud environments in support of national security missions. You will work alongside engineers and cybersecurity professionals to accelerate software delivery and keep critical capabilities mission-ready.

RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and DevSecOps processes using Python, PowerShell, Groovy, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Support cloud-based architectures, containerized platforms, automated testing, and root cause analysis across enterprise environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams in a Scaled Agile Framework environment, including PI and Sprint planning.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph.
  • Must meet DoD 8140 requirements, including Security+ CE certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related STEM field.
  • 10+ years of experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, test automation, and systems integration in cloud-based enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Python, PowerShell, Groovy, REST APIs, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Rancher.
  • Experience supporting API gateways, IdAM, and enterprise security requirements within classified environments.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) infrastructure and engineering tools.
  • Experience optimizing cloud-hosted solutions and supporting cloud platforms including Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and IBM Cloud.
  • Experience implementing and integrating ServiceNow solutions.
  • Experience supporting monitoring, visualization, and observability platforms such as Grafana and Splunk.
  • Experience supporting virtualization technologies, application streaming, containerized environments, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience supporting API gateways, service catalogs, cross-domain solutions, and enterprise integration platforms.
  • Experience administering engineering and collaboration platforms including SharePoint, IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM), Teamwork Cloud, Cameo, and Tableau.
