As a Senior Director of Development, you will play a critical role in providing leadership, thoughtful planning, and delivery of a comprehensive strategy for the College of Law at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. You will join the foundation at an exciting time, with the opportunity to make a transformational impact. The foundation is in the public phase of a historic campaign to raise $3 billion to build a better future for Nebraska. The campaign is being led by many enthusiastic volunteers representing all areas of the University of Nebraska System. UNL anchors the campaign, with a goal of $1.5 billion from enthusiastic donors. This position will work in our Lincoln office.
Ways you will make an impact:
- Develop strategic initiatives and plans for identification and cultivation of major gift prospects, and solicitation of transformational gifts for long term success.
- Directly communicate with and build a robust community of philanthropic support by partnering with community members, College of Law campus partners, and university leadership.
- Holistically plan and implement major and principal gift fundraising.
- Lead, coach, and mentor seasoned, highly motivated, fundraising professionals.

What you need:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree. Preferred Education: Master’s Degree.
- Minimum Experience: 5+ years of experience in development or a related field with transferrable skills. Preferred Experience: 3+ years of experience managing a team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and judgement.
- Discretion in handling confidential matters.
