Job Title: Senior Desktop & Application Engineering Lead (Supervisor)
Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid: 1 2 days onsite per week)
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role
A premier, major law firm in New York City is seeking a Senior Desktop & Application Engineering Lead / Supervisor. This pivotal role blends strategic desktop engineering leadership with hands-on oversight of enterprise application implementations, infrastructure, and servers. You will lead a high-performing technical team, drive critical legal technology upgrades, and serve as the ultimate escalation point for complex Level 3 environment issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor desktop and application engineering team members.
  • App Ecosystem: Oversee the lifecycle, configuration, and deployment of enterprise legal applications.
  • System Upgrades: Lead firm-wide application and server implementations, configurations, and upgrades.
  • Tier 3 Escalations: Act as the final technical escalation point for complex system anomalies.
  • Infrastructure Management: Monitor performance across VMware, Hyper-V, AVD, and Citrix environments.
  • Process Automation: Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate deployments and streamline workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 7 10+ years of progressive desktop, application, or systems engineering experience.
  • Leadership: Proven track record in a team lead, supervisor, or management capacity.
  • Legal Tech: Advanced hands-on experience with iManage Work 10, Litera, BigHand, IntApp Time, and Adobe.
  • Core Microsoft: Expert knowledge of M365, Intune, Windows, Active Directory, GPO, and OneDrive.
  • Virtualization/Tools: Deep familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, AVD, Citrix, ControlUp, and Wireshark.
  • Industry Background: Prior experience in a large law firm or professional services environment is highly preferred.
  • Logistics: Must be local to NYC to commute onsite 1 2 days per week.
