Job description

The Powertrain Senior Designer position is for a highly skilled and experienced designer for the Powertrain Design Services group. The primary responsibilities include performing packaging, concept, design, layout and checking related assemblies and components.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma
  • Minimum 7 years' design experience
  • Extensive experience with NX parametric solid modeling and Teamcenter
  • Strong written and oral communications to lead design and packaging meetings
  • Strong organization, planning and data management skills
  • PC Skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or a technology related discipline
  • Experience in the design of sheet metal, injection moldings, complex castings and precision machined components
  • Ability to apply GD&T and perform component stacks
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
