Standard Job Description Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases. Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Maintains security and integrity controls.

Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. Responsibilities include: database loading; development and management of operational procedures; environment management; database health (e.g. monitoring, proactive and reactive responses); resource planning; database upgrade planning; backup and recovery strategy planning and implementation; environment transition planning (development, test, stage, production)

Basic Qualifications Basic Qualifications : Experience working in a Linux environment Flexibility and determination to learn new skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Atlassian software products Self-driven, ability to work independently and in a team environment Final Secret clearance required prior to start and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance Desired Skills Desired skills : Advanced Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server database platforms o High-availability o Clustering and automated failover o Architecture design and implementation o Implementing security technical implementation guidelines (STIGs) o Backup methodologies Great interpersonal and effective communications skills working in a team environment Experience working with multiple development teams and integrating product environments Experience with RedHat OpenShift Experience with KVM and VMWare virtualization platforms Experience with Agile processes Experience with satellite ground systems OPIR program experience/exposure Experience with configuration management and change management process implementation Automated scripting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & unit test experience Experience coding in Python or other scripting languages Experience with lean and/or other Continuous Process Improvement frameworks Experience with security data classification guidelines Experience with creating CONOPS and procedural documentation Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people. Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics. For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
