Data Visualization Specialist, Senior
The Opportunity:
As data visualization specialist, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges. You can use your skills and experience to support a mission and use data for good. In this role, you'll work closely with the team to understand client questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to bring together different data sources to develop dashboards that will provide answers to their business questions.
How You'll Contribute:
As a data visualization specialist on our team, you'll:
  • Use your technical knowledge and analytical mindset to support client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through collection and synthesis of large data sets.
  • Use your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as SQL or Python to develop relevant data queries and data visualization solutions.
  • Apply data visualization techniques in dashboard tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.

You have:
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
  • Experience utilizing Python, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, or Seaborn
  • Experience utilizing SQL for reporting and dashboard creation
  • Experience preparing datasets for analysis
  • Knowledge of databases, including relational databases and schema design
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries, including joins, CTEs, or window functions
  • Ability to work with a team in a collaborative manner
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
