What is the opportunity?

This is an opportunity to work at RBC Wealth Management Technology Data team with a group of technology professionals dedicated to delivering transformative ML solutions to Wealth business and clients. We are all in with Agile development, DevOps, Open Source, Software as a Service (SaaS) and modern tools and processes.

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Data Engineer to work on advanced ML initiatives-design, develop, and optimize data solutions, ensuring the delivery of the high quality data assets, reporting, business intelligence, and drive technical innovation across the Wealth Management data domain.

What will you do?

Drive strategic QE initiatives and implement automation standards and processes. Work independently to plan, prioritize and execute assigned tasks

Develops, tests, and deploys complex data and software architectures to generate reusable data assets, enabling advanced analytics and reporting capabilities

Lead initiatives and create and execute test cases and test scripts based on business requirements and user stories

Leads data engineering tasks or projects requiring advanced problem solving and decision making, navigating ambiguity

Collaborates with business and technology teams to design and implement data solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and compliance standards

Drives decisions on issues requiring innovative thinking and technical expertise and providing recommendations that influence own team and across other work areas

Independently resolves data engineering related problems by identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency within scope of responsibility

Actively participate in scrums/team meetings, technical walkthroughs and business reviews

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

A relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a comparable field of study

Database/API/UI experience with strong knowledge in writing SQL Queries

Good exposure to automation script development using Python/Java/Typescript

GenAI hands-on experience to generate code, test, analysis etc...

Experience working in Agile environment. Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills

Experience with Test Management/Reporting tools like JIRA, Confluence, Qtest.

Nice to Have

Experience working with DevOps pipelines - GitHub, UCD

Experience in working and leading AI initiatives

ISTQB certification

Data Engineer AWS certification
