Job Posting: Sr Cybersecurity Technologist

Job Description

Complete Logistical Services is excited to announce an opening for a Sr Cybersecurity Technologist. This is a contract/temporary position ideal for a dedicated cybersecurity professional looking to bring their expertise to a dynamic and growing team. The position is on-site, emphasizing the importance of in-person collaboration and immediate availability for crisis response and secure operations management. This is not a remote job, requiring the successful candidate to work directly from our facilities to ensure optimal integration with our technical and operational infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze, evaluate, and assess network risks to develop and implement proactive defense measures and protocols.
  • Leverage expertise in Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls, Global Protect, and Panorama to maintain and enhance network security.
  • Design and implement comprehensive security policies and configurations to safeguard internal networks, including NAT, Security Profiles, URL filtering, Threat Prevention, and SSL decryption.
  • Perform ongoing deep packet analysis and log review with tools like Wireshark and PAN-OS to ensure continuous network security and integrity.
  • Manage and respond to cybersecurity incidents promptly, minimizing impact and coordinating with relevant internal teams for effective resolutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the organization to educate and train on cybersecurity best practices and adaptive security measures.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and continuous surveillance to preempt threats and breaches.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure business continuity and recoverability in case of cyber-attacks.
  • Stay updated on the latest in cybersecurity threats and countermeasures to constantly refine and enhance security protocols.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the organization's incident response plans.
  • Lead cybersecurity projects from conception to execution, interfacing with cross-functional teams and external partners as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing critical network operations in a 24/7 high-availability environment.
  • Ability to design and configure Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Global Protect, and Panorama for centralized security management.
  • Experience designing and implementing security policies, including NAT, Security Profiles, URL filtering, Threat Prevention, and SSL decryption.
  • Skilled in deep packet analysis and log review using Wireshark and PAN-OS to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex network issues.
  • 7 years hands-on experience with Palo Alto technologies platform and configuration experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure in crisis situations.
  • Demonstrable project management skills, able to lead and manage projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Deep understanding of compliance requirements and frameworks (like ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
