THE JOB:
Information Security Engineers play a critical role in strengthening the organization's cybersecurity posture by developing and maintaining strategic security solutions that transform threat intelligence and vulnerability data into actionable insights and prioritized remediation. Working closely with cross-functional teams and leadership, the Engineer provides visibility into the evolving threat landscape to support informed, risk-based decision-making, proactive response, and continuous improvement of the organization's overall security resilience.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Deploy, operate, and maintain security platforms and tools across on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring secure and reliable performance.
  • Provide security configuration and operational guidance in collaboration with business units, technology teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze security tools and threat activity, partnering with Cyber Defense teams to investigate anomalies and potential threats.
  • Evaluate security capabilities and tool functionality against business requirements, industry standards, and evolving cybersecurity best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including configurations, integrations, and logical interdependencies across the security environment.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with business, product, and technology teams to align security engineering initiatives with strategic organizational objectives.
  • Maintain strong cybersecurity awareness and operational discipline, including knowledge of emerging threats and technologies, appropriate escalation of security events, and support for effective team development and succession planning.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; 3+ years of relevant information security experience required, with 5+ years preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in security intelligence, vulnerability management, incident response, or related cybersecurity disciplines.
  • Experience with log aggregation, data ingestion, and security telemetry platforms; hands-on experience with Cribl is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint, network, infrastructure, and cloud security technologies, including security architecture and network traffic analysis.
  • Proven ability to engineer, implement, and manage technical security solutions across complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience using scripting or development languages such as Python or PowerShell to automate security workflows, analysis, integrations, or operational processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex security data and incidents into actionable insights and business impacts; industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CEH, AZ-500, or SANS are preferred.
