Job description

The Store Operations Data Analyst works with field and corporate leadership to organize and present key business insights using data analysis and visualization tools. The goal of a Store Operations Data Analyst is to understand specific business problems or performance opportunities and deliver meaningful insights from all available data to help our field leadership teams and other key stakeholders make important operational decisions. Perform analyses of performance KPIs of stores and team members, compliance, and other business needs as assigned. Strive to continually improve our reporting systems and analytical capabilities for both corporate and field team members. Present information and recommendations to mid-management and senior level management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Make use of all available datasets to accomplish business objectives.
Initiate and monitor systems, process, and recurring reports in accordance with production schedule (weekly, monthly quarterly etc.), to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
Document requirements for the creation of new dashboards, visualizations and reports in BI tools.
Use existing data, processes, and reports to fulfill the needs of field leadership, stores as well as any departments supported by the store operations data analysis team.
Assist with design and creation of new dashboards and reports as assigned.
Provide insight into existing operational reports, TN applications, dashboards, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Communicate with responsible parties when abnormalities are identified.
Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
Learn and use all data sources and software used by Store Operations data analysis team, including BI tools, data warehouse, adhoc data feeds such as CSV or Excel files, Access or Postgres databases to provide insights to the store operations department and other supported departments.
Training end users on new reports and dashboards.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:
2 year or 4 year degree, preferably in Business, CIS, Computer Science, Economics or Mathematics.
Strong analytical skills.
Complex query statement construction experience (SQL/MySQL).
Acute attention to detail prior experience working with relational databases, large datasets, and ETL processes.
Experience transforming data into usable information for non-technical consumers.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
Able to provide a high level of customer service inside and outside the team.
Proficient with Excel, Access, and Word.
Flexible and adaptable to new direction as business problems change.
Desired:
DOMO or other Bi Tools experience
Excellent verbal/writing skills.
Self-motivated Ability to work with limited supervision.
Collaboration and creativity, Commitment to participate in additional training.
Experience in Automotive Retail or Service Industries.
