Description

REJIS is seeking a highly skilled Senior Crime Analyst to serve as the lead individual contributor within our Crime Analysis Unit. In this role, you will conduct advanced tactical, strategic, investigative, and administrative analyses to support patrol operations, major case investigations, and long-term crime reduction efforts. You will also mentor junior analysts, help maintain quality standards, and serve as an analytical resource to partner agencies and command staff.


What you'll do

  • Conduct advanced tactical analysis to identify crime series, patterns, and hot spots
  • Perform investigative analysis, including cell phone and cell site analysis, link analysis, geographic profiling, and timeline development
  • Lead strategic projects such as trend studies, resource allocation analyses, and annual crime reports
  • Develop templates, mapping layers, and automated reporting tools to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Mentor Intermediate and Entry-Level Analysts through review, feedback, and technical guidance
  • Serve as the primary analytical contact for assigned partner agencies and participate in briefings, meetings, and task forces
  • Support quality control efforts and help update standard operating procedures
  • Provide after-hours analytical support for major cases on an on-call rotation

Requirements

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Geography, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • At least four years of professional crime analysis experience
  • Strong experience with cell phone and cell site analysis, GIS mapping, RMS/CAD systems, and statistical tools
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R preferred
  • Certified Law Enforcement Analyst (CLEA) credential, or ability to obtain within 18 months
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects


Minimum salary starts at $70,347.81 with the possibility of additional compensation based on years of experience, demonstrated skills, certifications, and education.
