Job description

About Recom
Recom accelerates premium brands on Amazon - JBL, Shiseido, NEST NY, and other luxury names that take brand experience seriously.
We're a craft-driven team building the modern standard for how world-class brands show up on the world's largest commerce platforms. We do this through multiple models that all focus on creating the best brand experience for consumers, while accelerating growth and taking ownership over results on the marketplaces.
Ready to grow with us? Learn more at www.recom.co.
Role Description
The model, the product, and the expertise are in place. What comes next is reach, relevance, and a brand presence that matches the caliber of the clients we serve.
We are hiring a Director of Brand & Product Marketing to own how Recom shows up in the world and how we turn attention into pipeline.
You are building the internal creative engine from scratch. You operate as a team of five on day one, with AI as your force multiplier. You add 1-2 hires as you scale.
You report to the CMO. You work directly with the Co-Founders. You own a function.
What You Own
This role has two pillars. AI is the operating model that runs through both.
1. The Internal Creative Engine
You build and lead the team responsible for every asset a customer or prospect sees.
  • Sales enablement, pitch decks, and customer decks
  • Brand system, web, and visual identity
  • Customer-facing communications and storytelling
  • Campaigns, content, and editorial across channels

You set the bar for taste, tone, and consistency. Every output reflects the premium positioning of the brands we serve.
2. Demand and Revenue Alignment
You carry a demand gen IQ. Every asset ships in service of pipeline.
  • Partner with sales and revenue leadership on the number
  • Build content and campaigns that drive intent and inquiry
  • Measure work against pipeline contribution
  • Understand how brand presence converts to revenue at the premium end

The "Team of Five" Operating Model
You have already proven this works. We want to see the portfolio.
Show us the mind-blowing AI work you have shipped solo or with a tiny team. Show us what you built, how you built it, and the results it drove.
Using AI, you operate as:
  • A brand strategist
  • A copywriter and editor
  • A visual designer and creative director
  • A demand and content marketer
  • A producer who ships fast

You use AI to compress the work of a five-person team into the output of one operator. When you build the team, you use it to make them five times faster.
Who This Role Is For
You are a senior operator with the range of a generalist and the depth of a specialist in at least one of: brand, content, design, or demand gen.
You have:
  • 7+ years across brand and product marketing, with leadership experience or clear evidence of operating at that level
  • A portfolio of AI-leveraged work that punches above the headcount that produced it
  • Strong taste and a high editorial bar
  • Real demand gen instinct and comfort owning revenue contribution
  • Experience in agency, ecommerce, premium brand, or B2B services environments is a plus

You are AI-forward and AI-native. You are already three tools ahead of the AI roadmap.
Why This Is a Rare Opportunity
  • You own the brand and product marketing function at a premier Amazon agency serving the world's top brands
  • Direct line to the CMO and Co-Founders
  • A blank-canvas mandate to build the creative engine you want
  • A roster that gives you immediate credibility and case study material
  • The freedom to define the AI-native operating model for a modern agency

If you do this role well, Recom becomes the brand premium and luxury brands think of first when they decide to win on Amazon.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
  • Recom has a sharp, consistent brand voice and visual system
  • Every customer-facing asset reflects the caliber of the client roster
  • Pipeline contribution from marketing is measurable and growing
  • 1-2 hires are in seat, ramped, and operating in the AI-native model you set
  • Sales has the assets they need to close at the premium end
