Job description

Description

The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will support a Navy enterprise command-and-control environment in Charleston, SC. This position serves as a senior technical authority responsible for integrating cybersecurity practices into enterprise DevOps processes, enabling secure automation, continuous compliance, and resilient infrastructure operations within classified DoD networks.

The selected candidate will drive DevSecOps strategy and standards, embeds security and compliance across the delivery lifecycle, and partners with application, infrastructure, security, and data teams to enable scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions.


This role is 100% onsite.


Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:

Provide DevSecOps leadership and sustainment support for enterprise cloud on premises computing environments.

Perform lifecycle management activities including platform upgrades, regression testing, version management, patching, and production deployments following change management processes 

Support multi-platform service architectures across on premises environments 

Develop and maintain architecture documentation, deployment guides, installation configuration guides, network boundary diagrams, and security artifacts 

Support DoD RMF activities, IAVA remediation, DISA STIG implementation, continuous monitoring, and Authority to Operate (ATO) packages 

Provide 24x7 Tier 3 operational support for production environments 

Analyze architectures to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction

Required Skills

Seven (7) years of experience in DevOps engineering, DevSecOps engineering, cloud engineering, cybersecurity engineering, or enterprise systems engineering 

Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure automation solutions within enterprise environments 

Strong experience developing automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages 

Experience integrating security testing, vulnerability scanning, compliance validation, and automated security controls into DevOps workflows 

Experience administering enterprise Windows and Linux environments 

Experience supporting virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter 

Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational visibility solutions 

Experience supporting secure DoD, government, or highly regulated environments 

Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, vulnerability management, secure architecture, and system hardening practices 

Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST cybersecurity frameworks, DISA STIG implementation, continuous monitoring, and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities
