Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems, Computer Engineering or related degree
  • 5+ ย years of experience developing in the ADAS domain using radars, cameras, LIDAR, ultrasonic sensors and/or other related vehicle systems (e.g. body, electrical, chassis, powertrain, etc.)ย 
  • 2+ ย years in system engineering including experience with the System V, Functional decomposition, design analysis, Concept, Logical and technology level requirements development, System integration and FMA analysis
  • 2+ years leading cross functional communications such as "Feature Owner," leading ad-hoc, multi-disciplinary teams across hardware, software, functional safety, and testing to drive the ADAS feature from concept to production.
  • 2+ years with communication skills and ability to lead ad-hoc teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems, Computer Engineering or related degree
  • Experience with SysML/MagicDraw
  • Experience with model based design (e.g. Matlab, Simulink, etc.)ย 
  • Experience with Functional Safety (ISO26262) and Failure Mode Avoidance
  • 5+ years of experience with system architecture, design, and documentation
  • 5+ years of experience with GPDS and program deliverables
  • 5+ years of experience with ADAS Perception, Sensing, or Driving Control systems
  • 5+ years of experience with system architecture, design, and documentation

This position is a salary grade 7 to 8 and ranges from $84,480-162,120.ย 
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

We are seeking professionals who can contribute to our efforts with experience and passion in the development of features, functions, sensors, ECUs, models, and software. IYou will:

  • Lead the development of feature engineering deliverables including Concept, Logical and Technology requirements, Boundary diagrams,ย design analysis, Failure Mode Avoidance, robustness fields and test procedures.
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to realize the desired Driving Control Feature experience
  • Work with Hardware, Software and Test teams to ensure Feature requirements are cascaded, aligned, and accepted.
  • Develop and refine vehicle level uses cases, interfaces and feature level specification to ensure production feature delivery.
  • Establish Feature objectives and ensure system operation to meet the end-user/customer objectives through a structured system level test methodology
  • Work with Functional Safety engineers to develop and refine feature functional safety requirements, item definition, hazard analysis/risk assessment and functional safety concept incompliance with ISO-26262/Ford Functional Safety process.
  • Ensure new features seamlessly integrate with existing features to provide a superb customer experience
  • Work with the virtual validation teams to establish CAE procedures to reduce dependence on vehicle-level testing.
  • Assure that the integration of affected systems meet the requirements for desired feature-level performance
  • Support development of Design validation methods to ensure feature robustness across all vehicle environmental conditions and customer usage profiles
  • Use data analysis techniques and methods from data generated by track, lab and model-based validation method to ensure feature achieves a desired set of requirements.
  • Plan and help execute real-world evaluation of ADAS features via vehicle/HIL/virtual testing and identify system problems/issues
  • Support and coordinate root-cause analysis with internal functions and external suppliers to ensure delivered system achieves feature requirements
  • Support Sign-off of feature level performance for first vehicle program implementation
  • Gather quality history to manage and drive feature quality and improvements (i.e. Data Analytics/VOCF/Launch Feedback/Warranty/External Metrics such as JD Powers).
