Junior Contractor Special Access Program Security Officer

Gnostech LLC., a growing technology solutions company, has an immediate opening for a Junior Contractor Special Access Program Security Officer to support their growing engineering services business. This position requires a motivated individual who seeks to work in a team environment where creative solutions are encouraged, technically challenging problems are the norm and the focus is on the application of new technologies to real world problems. The on-site location for this position is Warminster, PA.

Specifically, this Contractor Special Access Program Security Officer is needed to support a small team developing a multiple-security level system incorporating virtual environments and VPN technology.

Overview
  • Location: Warminster, PA
  • Job Title: Junior Contractor Special Access Program Security Officer
  • Salary: Depending on Experience
  • Shift: M-F, Days
  • Travel: Less than 10% (maybe 4-5 weeks per year)
Position Responsibilities
  • Act as a Junior Contractor Special Access Program Security Officer (CSSO) Provide oversight of programs and staff across the PMO supporting various locations.
  • Implement security measures in accordance with applicable DoD Manuals 5205.07 and 5105.21 volumes, the NISPOM, as well as other guiding government regulations and local facility procedures.
  • Identifies program issues and implements corrective actions to identified security problems as directed
  • Conducts security briefings and maintains security education programs
  • Reviews security program requirements for efficiency and standardization
  • Participates in preparation of security proposals
  • Communicates results of security findings/posture in both verbal and written form
  • Coordinates planning and preparations of new security programs including proposal preparation
  • Investigates security incidents and violations relating to classified programs and establishes the basis for possible disciplinary action Implements corrective actions to identified problems
  • Interprets program requirements and applies them consistently across diverse situations
  • Provides security guidance in specified field and acts as liaison with specific program customer and sponsor
  • Administers program contractual security requirements
  • Ensures accuracy of security databases
  • Provides training and development to department employees and manages resources
Minimum Security Clearance
  • Top Secret clearance required
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • 3-5 years Security Officer experience within the DoD community
  • Knowledge of government regulations
  • Highly proficient knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), National Security Agency (NSA) Communications Security (COMSEC), and program specific Program Security Directives (PSD)
  • Experience communicating with government customers
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently and ability to prioritize, schedule and complete multiple tasks
  • Highly proficient ability to display appropriate discretion and judgment
  • Demonstrated success of Security Compliance Audits
Education and Training Required
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) or equivalent
Minimum Years of Experience
  • 3 years of experience required
