Job description

About the Opportunity

SRM Concrete is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Content Producer to independently lead video and photography projects for our social media, recruiting, marketing, training, and corporate communications channels.

This is a hands-on, high-output position for someone who can manage the entire creative process-from identifying stories and planning shoots to capturing, editing, publishing, and evaluating content. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, takes initiative without waiting for assignments, and can move projects forward while collaborating with teams across a large, fast-paced organization.

This position requires approximately 50% travel to SRM locations, construction sites, company events, and community activities throughout our operating footprint. Travel may include overnight stays and occasional early-morning, evening, or weekend assignments based on production needs.

Each week, this person will create and publish compelling videos and photography featuring construction projects, early-morning concrete pours, plant operations, team member stories, leadership messages, community events, safety initiatives, recruiting efforts, and the moments that bring SRM's "We Say Yes" culture to life.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

Independent Content Planning and Production

  • Independently manage projects from initial concept through final delivery and publication.
  • Proactively identify meaningful stories, projects, people, and events across SRM's operations.
  • Develop concepts, production schedules, storyboards, interview questions, scripts, shot lists, and creative briefs.
  • Coordinate shoot schedules, travel logistics, interviews, site access, and production needs with minimal supervision.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and brand consistency.
  • Make sound creative and production decisions in the field, adapting quickly when schedules, weather, job-site conditions, or business priorities change.

Video, Photography and Content Creation

  • Capture professional video and photography for social media, websites, recruiting campaigns, presentations, internal communications, advertising, and company archives.
  • Film interviews with drivers, equipment operators, plant managers, leadership, customers, contractors, and community partners.
  • Capture compelling footage and images of ready-mix plants, aggregate operations, cement facilities, active job-site pours, construction projects, equipment, community events, and company gatherings.
  • Produce short-form social videos, long-form features, recruiting content, project spotlights, testimonials, leadership messages, training videos, and event recaps.
  • Create platform-specific content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, websites, and emerging channels.
  • Select and edit photographs for digital, print, editorial, recruiting, and promotional use.
  • Write engaging headlines, video descriptions, captions, social copy, and other supporting content.
  • Maintain a consistent visual style that accurately represents SRM's brand, people, culture, and operations.

Post-Production

  • Edit video using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable professional editing software.
  • Perform color correction, sound mixing, captioning, music selection, and final quality control.
  • Resize and version content for multiple platforms, audiences, and aspect ratios.
  • Create motion graphics, title treatments, animated text, thumbnails, and other promotional assets that follow SRM's brand standards.
  • Incorporate accurate project information, including concrete yardage, PSI strength, location details, project milestones, and construction facts.
  • Deliver polished content efficiently while balancing production quality with the need for timely publication.

Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, Sales, and company leadership to understand goals, audiences, timelines, and measures of success.
  • Build strong working relationships with team members throughout SRM's operations.
  • Communicate clearly with site supervisors and operational teams before and during shoots.
  • Translate technical, operational, and construction-related topics into clear, engaging stories for a wide range of audiences.
  • Receive feedback professionally while maintaining ownership of projects and keeping production schedules on track.

Equipment and Asset Management

  • Maintain and organize professional cameras, audio, lighting, drone, and production equipment.
  • Prepare equipment for local and out-of-state shoots and recommend future equipment needs.
  • Maintain an organized digital media library with consistent file naming, metadata, releases, backups, and archival standards.
  • Ensure footage and photography can be easily located and repurposed for future projects.
  • Follow all company safety requirements and job-site protocols while working around heavy equipment and active construction operations.
What Sets You Apart
  • Four or more years of professional experience producing video, photography, or multimedia content in an agency, in-house, media, or freelance environment.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual storytelling, professional videography, photography, interviewing, editing, and social-first content creation. Applicants should provide portfolio links.
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects from concept through production, editing, approval, and publication.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Audition, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable creative software.
  • Strong photography skills, including composition, lighting, exposure, image selection, color correction, and retouching.
  • Experience creating content for both vertical and horizontal formats across major social platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to interview team members, customers, executives, and community partners.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, including overnight travel.
  • Availability for occasional early-morning, evening, and weekend assignments based on project and event schedules.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and around active construction sites, industrial facilities, large vehicles, and heavy equipment.
  • Willingness and ability to wear required personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to SRM locations and project sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience creating content within the construction, concrete, building materials, manufacturing, transportation, heavy equipment, or industrial sectors is a plus.
  • Familiarity with construction terminology, job-site operations, and safety expectations is strongly preferred.
  • FAA Part 107 drone certification or willingness to obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Experience with drone photography and videography, motion graphics, audio production, or 360-degree capture.
