Description

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector (SCDOT) in our Charlotte, NC office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Positions offer the opportunity for growth and advancement for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform field services for soils, foundations, pavement sections, reinforced concrete, structural masonry, wood framing, structural steel and other special inspections, as applicable.
  • Coordinate with contractors, and NOVA staff regarding execution of required services and result of testing and/or inspections, as applicable.
  • Prepare detailed and complete daily field reports

One or more of the following certifications is required:

  • SCDOT Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Level 1 Quality Control (QC) Technician is required
  • SCDOT in Asphalt Roadway Technician (ART), Earthworks, Concrete, etc. are plus
  • 2+ years of experience in construction inspection with a focus on roadway field inspection and HMA quality assurance lab testing
  • Highlydesiredwithaminimumof3yearsofexperienceinroadwayandbridgeconstruction
  • StrongknowledgeofSCDOTconstructionstandardsandprocedures
