Job description

DMK DEVELOPMENT IS GROWING. We have an immediate opening for a Commercial Construction Superintendent in Fishers, IN.
DMK Development Group
is an industry leading construction and real-estate development firm founded in 2007, specializing in senior housing. Demand for senior housing is exploding throughout the country and with over one billion dollars of project experience across 10 states, DMK maintains an extensive senior housing pipeline across the Midwest and Southeast United States.

ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for a deadline-driven construction superintendent to oversee our construction project and to act as the link between various project parties. The successful candidate is a strong leader, an excellent communicator, a team player, and performs well under pressure.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
  • Work on project from start to closeout.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the project site.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining schedules for the project.
  • Keep updated records of progress through daily field status reports.
  • Foster positive relationships with team members, subcontractors, owners, and city officials.
  • Prioritize tasks and identify problems or potential problems as they relate to the organization of the job.
  • Coordinate with Project Manager and support team to complete all aspects of the project.
  • Perform quality control reviews of materials received on the project as well as work performed.
  • Inspect all work completed, taking appropriate corrective actions.
  • Coordinate all inspections with authorities regarding approvals.
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
  • Work with safety team to create and maintain a safe working environment for all.
  • Assist in any additional duties as requested.
WHAT YOU NEED:
  • 5+ years of experience leading construction projects, senior living, healthcare and multi-familyexperience preferred
  • Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of construction safety and represent strong safety values.
  • Must be able to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Comfort and familiarity with iPad usage with Procore is preferred.
  • Use effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in organizing and evaluating information.
  • Willing to travel nationally to the assigned project location.
  • The physical ability to lift and carry items weighing 90 pounds, climb and work from ladders, bend, stoop, work around moving machinery, work around dust and fumes, and work in inclement weather conditions.

Salary is commensurate with industry experience.
