Help Drive Financial Excellence at PROtect
PROtect, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting operational decision-making, and maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for month-end close activities, project accounting, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced and growing organization.
What You'll Do
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze account fluctuations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly GAAP financial statements and reporting packages.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Project Accounting & Revenue Recognition
  • Lead project accounting activities for assigned divisions.
  • Manage monthly revenue recognition processes.
  • Coordinate time-and-material and fixed-price project billings.
  • Support sales and use tax reporting requirements.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for operational leadership.

Accounts Receivable & Payable
  • Review and maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
  • Ensure customer payments are applied accurately and timely.
  • Assist with collections and account reconciliations as needed.

Process Improvement & Business Support
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Develop reporting and performance metrics that support business decisions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting systems and assist with employee training.
  • Support annual audits, tax preparation activities, and special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting practices.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional analytical and business math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Public accounting experience.
  • Experience with project accounting and revenue recognition.
  • Experience supporting audits and financial reporting processes.
