About the Role:

The Sr. Director, Enterprise Applications is a strategic technology leader who shapes and supports how Wabash harnesses its enterprise platforms to drive business performance, operational efficiency, and long-term growth. This role sits at the intersection of technology and business transformation, owning the architecture, roadmap, and evolution of Wabash's core application ecosystem, including SAP, Salesforce, and the broader enterprise portfolio.

In this role you'll lead a talented team spanning application administration and development, process enablement, and master data management, and serve as a key voice in enterprise technology decisions at the senior leadership level. The ideal candidate brings deep enterprise application expertise paired with the strategic mindset and communication skills to influence at every level, from engineering teams to the executive suite.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Define and deliver the vision, architecture, and roadmap for Wabash's enterprise application portfolio, including platform simplification, risk analysis, architectural gap assessment, and alignment with industry and technology trends
  • Develop architectural design blueprints and business cases that document challenges, solution approaches, benefits, costs, and risks
  • Own the planning, configuration, design, and continuous improvement of core enterprise platforms including SAP, AS400, Salesforce, Concur, and ADP
  • Lead the Process Enablement team in translating business requirements into enterprise platform capabilities, including Master Data Management (MDM) governance, business process design, and enterprise data standards
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Data team to align technology roadmaps, ensuring application upgrades are synchronized with data platform capabilities. Translate complex business logic from enterprise applications into the data lake to establish a unified, consistent, and governed single source of truth that supports enterprise-wide analytics and reporting.
  • Partner closely with business leaders to understand requirements, analyze potential services, and align technology investments with business priorities. Communicate initiative status, roadmap progress, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership through the IT Strategy & Operations Council and other governance forums.
  • Lead and participate in IT governance groups associated with enterprise application services. Work closely with other IT teams to develop procedures, standards, operational controls, and communication paths that support reliable technology operations across infrastructure and applications.
  • Manage vendor relationships including contract negotiation and compliance. Oversee programs, services, and budgets for the Enterprise Applications and Process Enablement teams, identifying opportunities to reduce cost burden while preserving critical business functionality.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience leading enterprise application strategy, delivery, development, and support across complex business environmentsStrong knowledge of IT and digital trends and technologies
  • Experience leading and managing IT and digital teams as well as large scale organizational change management
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
  • Supports technologies such as: SAP ERP, Salesforce.com, Concur, AS400, ADP; including implementation
  • Fully knowledgeable of the systems development life cycle, structured analysis, design and programming techniques, programming languages, file access methods, web-based tools / solutions, system utilities and development tools, application software packages and PC-based packages used in development or support of production systems
  • Expertise in managing large-scale, complex ERP projects
