Job description

Senior Product Support Engineer – Senior Product Support Engineer at Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST). Provide expert‑level technical support for product and system prototypes; lead troubleshooting, manage complex technical issues, ensure product reliability, mentor junior engineers, and drive strategic initiatives to enhance support processes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert technical support for product and system prototypes.
  • Lead and manage product installation, testing, and validation projects.
  • Diagnose and resolve critical technical issues and defects.
  • Develop and implement advanced corrective actions in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Create and oversee high‑quality technical documentation.
  • Conduct comprehensive customer needs assessments and deliver tailored technical solutions.
  • Lead product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical workshops.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve product support processes and performance.
QualificationsMust Have
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in a technical support or engineering role.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Expert‑level troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Extensive experience with product installation and testing processes.
  • Progressive hands‑on experience with wireless networks, tactical communications and personal computers.
  • Communication and customer interface skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of system‑level maintenance of networks and communications systems.
  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
  • Meeting current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
  • Successfully pass a pre‑deployment medical assessment.
  • Willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required.
  • Current/valid passport and ability to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • Willing to TDY for extensive amounts of time.
  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.
  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance required.
Prefer
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with advanced prototype or concept product development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Aerospace and Defense industry standards and practices.
  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Project Management Professional).
  • Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics.
  • Familiarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors.
  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF), vehicle installation and maintenance procedures.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or U.S. Military.
  • Leadership experience in the military or civilian organization.
Essential Functions
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Hand/finger dexterity for operating computer equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
  • Capability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
