Job description

Systems Architect (Computer Systems Analyst)

Washington D.C.

We seek a seasoned Systems Architect to spearhead advanced systems analysis and architectural design. Your primary focus will be to elevate the integration, functionality, and performance of our enterprise IT solutions through strategic enhancements.

  • Demonstrated expertise in API design, development, and integration is crucial, including hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, and secure data exchange protocols.
  • Familiarity with integration and API management platforms such as MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Swagger, and Postman is highly desirable. Proficiency in development environments including GitHub, PHP, Java, SQL, and Lucee ColdFusion is a plus.
  • You will analyze and resolve complex business data processing challenges, architecting and implementing robust solutions for enterprise applications and system integration.
  • You will orchestrate systems management and integration functions across diverse platforms, encompassing both legacy and cloud-native environments.
  • Proactively identify and resolve system performance bottlenecks and limitations to ensure optimal operation.
  • Design the foundational architecture for enterprise systems, ensuring scalability, seamless interoperability, and secure data flow between HRMSD and external entities.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to translate intricate business requirements into precise system specifications and comprehensive architectural blueprints.
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge, enterprise-level strategies for optimizing software, hardware, and network infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and recommend commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software, ensuring seamless integration with HRMSD's existing technical architecture.
  • Review and refine system workflows, driving automation and enhancing data exchange processes for greater efficiency.
  • Assess and propose commercially available software solutions that align with our technical and operational objectives.
