INFORMATION SYSTEMS ARCHITECT SENIOR

Location: Quantico, VA - MCSC - Lester St - Woodbridge Team 

Clearance: TS/SCI

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field

Years of Experience: 10

Salary Range: 150,000 - 168,000

Required Certification:  

  • Must have a current DoD IAT Level II certification such as CompTIA Security+ certification. 
  • Must be able to obtain one additional certification such as CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, Linux+, VCP, or equivalent within 6 months of hire date. 

Job Description

Coordinate the design, development, implementation, and support of business and/or technical IT solutions encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies. Define project scope, plans and deliverables including cost projections and proposed implementation dates. Assist leadership in determining the technical direction of the organization. Research, analyze, recommend and implement new technologies, standard processes, tools, and techniques. 

Create portions of IT plans based on an understanding of the customer’s organizational strategic direction, technology context, and business needs. Coach and provide technical support to others on the application of new technologies, project management, and system development methodologies. Provide technical support for marketing initiatives through participation in proposals and marketing studies. 

Review other system and programming designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and integration of multiple systems and technologies. Identify, develop, update, and enforce standards and procedures. Monitor and ensure resolutions of performance issues. Interface with support groups on production problems, technical concerns, and financial issues. Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise IT solutions. 
  • Define project scope, schedules, deliverables, cost projections, and implementation timelines. 
  • Provide architectural and technical leadership across multiple IT domains. 
  • Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies and industry best practices. 
  • Develop, update, and enforce IT standards, policies, and procedures. 
  • Ensure resolution of system performance, technical, and integration issues. 
  • Interface with production, technical, and financial support groups. 
  • Support proposal development and marketing initiatives. 
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to technical staff and project teams. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Information Technology projects in complex environments. 
  • Specialized experience in disciplines such as information security, privacy, and information assurance. 
  • Experience in assembly and system integration and cross-discipline technical functions. 
  • Experience in data engineering, industry expertise, knowledge engineering, legacy system evolution, or system infrastructure. 
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. 

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field. 
  • CompTIA Security+ as required by DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain one additional certification such as CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, Linux+, VCP, or equivalent within 6 months of hire date. 
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (T3 Investigation). 

Physical Requirements

  • May require lifting andmovingoffice supplies, furniture, equipment and boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • May require the ability to work at multiple locations and travel nationally, as needed.
