This senior engineering role will drive platform reliability, scalability, AIOps initiatives, and observability governance while partnering with cross-functional technology teams to deliver innovative monitoring solutions.

If you're passionate about designing highly reliable enterprise monitoring platforms, advancing AIOps capabilities, and driving observability strategy across a complex enterprise environment, we encourage you to apply.

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 10 months

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise observability platforms.
  • Design scalable monitoring solutions using technologies such as Dynatrace, Datadog, IBM SevOne, and ServiceNow ITOM.
  • Develop and enforce observability standards, instrumentation strategies, governance models, and data architectures.
  • Drive AIOps initiatives, including intelligent automation, Davis AI, causal analysis, and proactive root cause identification.
  • Optimize enterprise monitoring environments by reducing alert fatigue, controlling log growth, and improving platform cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, operations, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver enterprise monitoring solutions.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across observability initiatives.
  • Develop technical standards, documentation, architectural guidance, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, audit, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of combined education and professional experience in systems engineering, infrastructure architecture, or enterprise platform engineering.
  • Extensive experience designing and scaling enterprise observability platforms.
  • Expert knowledge of Dynatrace, IBM SevOne, Datadog, or comparable enterprise monitoring technologies.
  • Strong experience with observability architecture, metrics, logs, traces, alerting strategies, and data modeling.
  • Hands-on expertise with AIOps, AI-driven analytics, intelligent automation, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), infrastructure lifecycle, and enterprise architecture.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of infrastructure engineering or enterprise architecture experience.
  • Experience integrating observability platforms with ServiceNow ITOM and enterprise IT operations tools.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, virtualization, distributed systems, and large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
