TheAdvanateam is seeking a Senior Data Governance & Quality Analyst to join their program. Advana is the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office's (CDAO) enterprise-wide, multi-domain data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) platform that provides all DoD military and civilian decision makers, analysts, and builders with unprecedented access to enterprise data, tools, and capabilities.

Senior Data Governance & Quality Analyst

  • Leads development and execution of enterprise data governance and quality operations supporting Advana across multi-classification enclaves.

  • Builds governance policies, stewardship standards, and access control frameworks while coordinating with platform engineers, cybersecurity officers, and mission analysts to maintain accurate metadata, asset documentation, and catalog traceability using Collibra, Apache Atlas, Databricks Unity Catalog, and ServiceNow CMDB integrations.

  • Develops data quality procedures by implementing profiling scripts, anomaly detection models, field-level validation rules, lineage tracking checks, and completeness scoring mechanisms.

  • Manages data-sharing agreement activities by documenting stewardship responsibilities, classification markings, cross-domain transfer requirements, and consumption constraints.

  • Designs and delivers governance training programs covering compliance workflows, catalog practices, approved ingestion pathways, and quality expectations.

  • Conducts governance effectiveness reviews by measuring rule adoption rates, remediation throughput, catalog freshness metrics, and user access review completion.

  • Collaborates with data operations and data engineering teams to embed governance controls into pipelines, monitoring systems, and enclave-specific data storage patterns.

  • Produces documentation packages, governance dashboards, quality status reports, risk summaries, and policy updates that improve mission readiness and reinforce trust in Advana data assets.

The likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
