Job description

Job Title: CNC Lead Operator

This role leads a small team of CNC operators on a first-shift schedule, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient machining operations. The CNC Lead Operator oversees daily production on CNC mills and lathes, supports programming and setup activities, and maintains high standards of quality and productivity in a clean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide a small team of CNC operators on first shift to meet production goals and quality standards.
  • Operate CNC mills and lathes, ensuring parts are machined to specification and within defined tolerances.
  • Perform CNC machine setup, including tooling, offsets, and program loading, to prepare equipment for production runs.
  • Assist with CNC programming and make program adjustments as needed to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to plan machining operations.
  • Monitor machining processes, inspect parts, and verify that dimensions and tolerances meet requirements.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to maintain consistent output.
  • Mentor and support CNC operators by providing technical guidance, training, and feedback on best practices.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of jobs.

  • Three or more years of CNC machining experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Owasso, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
