Title: Senior Cloud Engineer (Need someone with title as cloud engineer but not as a devops engineer)

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the AWS platform, be capable of suggesting and implementing architectural changes, and possess a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Evaluate and implement architectural changes to improve system performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for the cloud.
  • Automate cloud deployment and configuration processes.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Document technical specifications, procedures, and policies.
  • Stay updated with the latest AWS services and features.

Required Skills:

  • Must have 6 -10 years IT background
  • Strong experience with core AWS services: VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, Backups, EKS, SSO, MSK, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and related security/compliance tooling.
  • Container Orchestration: Solid understanding of Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio service mesh for traffic management, security, and observability.
  • Security & Patching: Experienced in patching and vulnerability remediation in cloud-native and containerized environments, aligned with best practices and compliance.
  • Programming & Scripting: Hands-on Python development experience for scripting, automation, and infrastructure tooling.
  • Advanced networking knowledge, including hands-on experience with AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) and Direct Connect — setup, troubleshooting, and hybrid connectivity.
