As a Senior Teller, you are customer focused, ensuring all customers feel welcome the moment they walk in the door by helping clients with all their retail and commercial banking transactions. You are responsible for accurately handling all banking needs of our customers, including deposits, withdrawals, cashier’s checks, and foreign exchange. In addition, tellers, through their conversations with the clients, listen to uncover financial needs and transitions clients to a banker to further assist, you act as a resource in identifying and resolving client servicing issues through strong customer relationship skills. t
Your Role

- Welcomes customers to the bank in a warm, friendly manner.
- Handles transactions efficiently and accurately by accepting account deposits and withdrawals, verifying cash and endorsements of checks.
- Accepts loan payments, issues money orders, cashiers’ checks, traveler checks, foreign currency, cash advances and U.S. Savings Bonds.
- Processes all transactions within authorized limits, which includes check-cashing limits. Obtains supervisor approval on all required transactions.
- Provides assistance to staff with more complex or unusual transactions; approves check cashing or other transactions within individual limits.
- Balances branch ATM daily as required, and processes night deposit transactions.
- Serves as backup to the platform staff by providing direct customer service when required. This includes opening and processing new accounts, following proper procedures for processing new accounts and consulting with clients to review and expand their banking relationship as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as required by the position.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- High School Diploma required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of bank clients.
- Previous cash handling experience is helpful.
- Proficient computer skills, which includes the ability to use a keyboard, ten-key pad and basic capability to access information contained within bank wide systems.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities, work in a fast paced, changing environment and maintain a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
- Follow policies, procedures and written instructions, as well as verbal instructions or directions from his/her supervisor.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
