The Realtor.com News & Insights team is seeking a talented senior celebrity & lifestyle reporter to create exciting, engaging content focused on the real estate industry.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience working in online media, and will be brimming with unique and exciting story ideas. You should have a passion for all things real estate, as well as a keen interest in celebrity and lifestyle stories. This role requires excellent writing skills, a keen news sense, exceptional time management, and the ability to turn around clean, concise, and engaging copy in a short space of time.

You must be up to date on the latest social media trends, and should be an expert in all things Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, and X. You should also be up to date on the latest AI tools and have a good understanding of how they can be implemented to better your daily workflow. In this role, you will be responsible for writing a set number of stories each day, as well as pitching ideas, optimizing content for SEO, and helping to assign stories to a team of freelancers. We are looking for a team player who is willing to throw themselves into a wide variety of stories with enthusiasm.

What You'll Do:

  • You must be able to write a set number of stories per day for [Realtor.com|http://Realtor.com]'s News & Insights section.
  • You will be pitching celebrity & lifestyle-focused real estate stories on a daily basis.
  • A deep understanding of the technical aspects of SEO and how to optimize content for search.
  • You need to have a keen interest in the real estate industry, as well as the latest celebrity and pop culture stories, and must keep up to date on trends.
  • You should be willing to work with your editor to assign stories to freelancers and edit incoming freelancer copy.
  • This is a hybrid role where you'll be required to work in our New York City office three days a week.

How We Work:

We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. For most roles, our employees work three or more days in our offices, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years working in online media or print journalism for a lifestyle and/or celebrity-focused publication/vertical.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Familiarity with content management systems.
  • A solid understanding of SEO.
  • Strong experience with social media.

At Realtor.com, we recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.  As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates.

The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect in the listed locations. Salary Range for select office locations: New York $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
