Job description

Lead Quantitative BI Analyst, Business Intelligence

Solera is a global leader in data and software services that strives to transform every touchpoint of the vehicle lifecycle into a connected digital experience. In addition, we provide products and services to protect life’s other most important assets: our homes and digital identities. Today, Solera processes over 300 million digital transactions annually for approximately 235,000 partners and customers in more than 90 countries. Our 6,500 team members foster an uncommon, innovative culture and are dedicated to successfully bringing the future to bear today through cognitive answers, insights, algorithms and automation.

The Role

We are seeking a Quantitative BI Analyst to bridge the gap between advanced financial analytics and enterprise‑scale business intelligence. This hybrid role combines deep financial modelling expertise with strong technical skills in data architecture and BI tools, enabling data‑driven decision‑making across a complex, multi‑business SaaS organization. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, demonstrates intellectual agility, and can translate complex datasets into actionable insights for senior leadership.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain driver‑based three‑statement financial models for scenario analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and valuation.
  • Perform advanced data mining and statistical modelling on large, complex datasets to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
  • Design and maintain enterprise BI architecture, data science models, pipelines, and warehousing solutions.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure data integrity and scalability.
  • Create automated dashboards and reporting tools using BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to track financial and operational performance.
  • Integrate BI tools with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM) for unified data access.
  • Partner with finance, product, and technology teams to refine assumptions, validate models, and align BI solutions with business objectives.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior executives in a clear, structured format.
  • Implement data governance standards, metadata management, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Mentor junior analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CFP, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • 7+ years of combined experience in financial analysis and BI/data engineering roles.
Technical Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
  • Solid understanding of data science techniques, sklearn standard models and applied solutions at scale.
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL, Python (pandas/spark), and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • 3+ years of experience in data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud‑based data platforms.
  • Familiarity with SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, churn) and valuation concepts.
Soft Skills
  • Exceptional problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and financial concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of ownership, adaptability, and delivering results in fast‑paced environments.
What We’re Looking For
  • A critical thinker who thrives at the intersection of finance and technology.
  • Strong quantitative mindset with the ability to design scalable BI solutions.
  • Highly motivated self‑starter with an ownership mentality and a bias for execution.
