Senior Associate

Financial Accounting & Due Diligence

USA: Chicago, IL | San Diego, CA (Hybrid)

MGO is seeking a Senior Associate to join our growing Consulting team. This role supports complex engagements involving finacial accounting and reporting, transactionrelated due diligence, fraud investigations, litigation support, forensic accounting, and technical accounting analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a solid accounting foundation, and experience supporting highstakes advisory matters.

As a Senior Associate, you will play a handson role in executing engagements, developing financial analyses, and delivering insights that help clients navigate acquisitions, disputes, investigations, regulatory matters, and financial reporting challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform financial accounting and reporting related engagements.
  • Perform financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions, including quality of earnings, working capital, and cash flow analyses.
  • Support fraud and internal investigations, including transaction testing, data analysis, tracing of funds, and identification of irregularities.
  • Provide litigation support, including damages calculations, expert report support, discovery assistance, and exhibit preparation.
  • Conduct forensic and technical accounting analyses in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Analyze general ledger activity, journal entries, bank records, and transactional data to identify trends, risks, and anomalies.
  • Prepare clear workpapers, memoranda, and clientready deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Managers and Partners and participate in client discussions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required or CPAeligible and actively pursuing.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial due diligence, forensic accounting, litigation support, fraud investigations, or technical accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and Excelbased analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced advisory environment.

Compensation: $90,000-$120,000 + Bonus programs and competitive benefits package.
