Job Summary
Nidec C&I A, a division of Nidec Motor Corporation, seeks an Application Engineer III. This role encompasses delivering technical and commercial support for engineered motors and active participation in new business development endeavors, spanning from RFQ to successful negotiation outcomes.
The Applications Engineer III is a senior-level technical professional responsible for leading complex customer application efforts, delivering advanced technical solutions, and driving product adoption through expert application knowledge. This role serves as a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal stakeholders, independently managing high-impact applications and resolving complex technical challenges. Advanced Application Engineering & Technical Leadership
  • Lead development and optimization of complex customer applications with minimal supervision
  • Perform advanced application analysis, sizing, modeling, and performance validation
  • Diagnose and resolve complex, non-routine technical and performance issues
  • Provide expert guidance on application feasibility, limitations, and optimization strategies

Customer & Sales Engineering Partnership
  • Serve as a senior technical resource during pre-sales and post-sales engagements
  • Lead technical discussions, presentations, and demonstrations with customers and stakeholders
  • Support strategic or high-value opportunities requiring advanced technical expertise
  • Build strong, consultative relationships with customers based on technical credibility

Product, Engineering & Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve application-driven issues

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
  • 5-8+ years of experience in applications engineering, product engineering, or technical customer-facing roles
  • Advanced understanding of engineering principles relevant to assigned products and applications
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills
