Job description

We are a global leader in semiconductor solutions in power systems and IoT, driving decarbonization and digitalization. We enable green and efficient energy, clean and safe mobility, and smart secure IoT. We are looking for an Application Engineer to support our customers.

Your Role
  • Support: Provide technical support to customers during the evaluation and development of systems related to automotive Ethernet PHYs.
  • Debugging: Perform handsโ€‘on bringโ€‘up and debugging of customer boards and evaluation kits to replicate and resolve issues.
  • Issue Management: Track, monitor, and follow up on customer technical issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Training: Prepare and deliver application training sessions and support trade show demonstrations.
  • Documentation: Develop customerโ€‘facing technical materials, including integration guides, application notes, API documentation, and training content.
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (approximately 10%).
  • Collaboration: Partner with crossโ€‘functional teams, including product management, design engineering, and quality assurance, to align product capabilities with customer needs.
Your Profile
  • Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as an Application Engineer or Systems Engineer within automotive or Ethernet applications, including handsโ€‘on debugging.
  • Protocols: Strong understanding of SerDes protocols and interfaces such as XFI/10GBASEโ€‘R, USXGMII, SGMII/RGMII, xxBASEโ€‘T1, I2C, and MDC/MDIO.
  • Programming: Proficiency in C and Python, with experience in scripting and software development.
  • Design Review: Experience reviewing schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Ethernet PHYs (1000BASEโ€‘T1 / Multiโ€‘GigBASEโ€‘T1) and bridge products.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive, selfโ€‘driven, and teamโ€‘oriented mindset.
