Senior Java Developer - Gaming Systems

We’re hiring Senior Java Developer - Gaming Systems in Las Vegas, NV.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with strong hands-on Java engineering, casino-gaming knowledge, and excellent client-facing communication. The role combines backend development, technical ownership, production support, and cross-region coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and support Java applications using Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, Hibernate/JPA, SQL/NoSQL, and messaging technologies.
  • Write secure, maintainable, testable code; participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot application, integration, database, performance, and production issues and complete root-cause analysis.
  • Translate business requirements into technical tasks and coordinate with architecture, BA, QA, DevOps, database, and offshore teams.
  • Mentor developers, support estimates and releases, and provide clear customer status, risk, and issue updates.

Gaming Domain

  • Develop solutions for casino management, player tracking, loyalty, promotions, slots, table games, gaming transactions, cashless gaming, markers, and reporting.
  • Integrate with casino platforms, hotel/PMS, kiosks, POS, payment providers, mobile apps, and analytics services.
  • Design for transaction accuracy, security, traceability, availability, and auditability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor''''s or master''''s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 8-10 years of professional Java development experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL, Git, Maven/Gradle, JUnit, and Mockito.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, event-driven systems, and observability tools.
  • Strong gaming-industry experience and familiarity with major casino-management platforms preferred.
