Position Summary... What you'll do...About the Role
As a Senior Manager, Software Engineering for International Technology, you will lead and scale a high-performing engineering organization responsible for designing, building, and delivering systems that use cutting-edge technology—bringing together mobile, data, and AI—to transform how Walmart manages real estate and company assets across all international markets. You will partner closely with Product, Design, and cross-functional engineering teams to develop and deliver solutions for asset management, IoT-enabled preventive maintenance, lease management, and capital project management for facilities. This role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, architectural vision, people management, and a passion for building exceptional systems that provide value to the business. Responsibilities
  Leadership & People Management
  • Lead, mentor, and grow multiple engineering teams across IWMS, mobile (iOS/Android) and web platforms, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent; conduct performance management and career development conversations.
  • Drive engineering excellence through sustainable architecture, code quality, testing, documentation, and operational best practices.
Technical Strategy & Execution
  • Define and execute the engineering roadmap for global capabilities, ensuring alignment with product and business goals.
  • Provide architectural direction for scalable, modular, and secure applications across platforms.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of features, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and exceptional user experience.
  • Enable and adopt AI tools to deliver business value with quality and speed.
Product & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product Management and UX to refine requirements, set priorities, and work collaboratively and cross-functionally with all Engineering and other dependent teams to achieve objectives.
  • Analyze competing requirements and articulate tradeoffs and lead discussions with business and development team, leading white board sessions with team. 
Operational Excellence
  • Champion automation, CI/CD, observability, and engineering productivity improvements.
  • Establish KPIs & SLAs for system reliability, performance, and feature velocity.
  • Drive incident response processes, root-cause analysis, and long-term preventative solutions.
  • Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly. Proficient in new and emerging technologies.  
Your Qualifications  
  • 12 - 15 years of relevant experience in building highly resilient, highly scalable systems 
  • 3+ years of leadership/management experience with a team of 10+ engineers. 
  • Experience in building extensible platforms.
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD development environments,
  • Experience in reusability, frameworks, patterns, and configurations tools for faster development.  
  • Good understanding of IWMS systems. Tririga experience preferred.
  • Understand the product and project management space with Agile methodologies. 
  • Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of design decisions.  
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to influence and persuade, without direct control.
