Job description

Senior Android Software Engineer — Consumer Health/Wellness Tech (Remote)

A fast-growing, well-funded consumer technology company building a connected hardware + software + AI platform focused on sleep and recovery. It's a high-intensity, high-growth environment — this is a builder's culture where the norm is closer to 60+ hours a week, not a standard 9-to-5.

The Role

This engineer will effectively own the company's flagship mobile app — the primary interface members use to interact with the company's connected hardware and view their personal health/recovery data. It's a high-visibility, high-ownership role that sits close to the core of the product, working directly with backend, firmware, and ML engineering teams as well as R&D, Growth, and Hardware, with visibility up to the CEO, CPO, and VP level.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Base Salary: $200,000 – $235,000 (some flexibility possible)
  • Location: Fully remote
  • Schedule: Startup pace — expect significantly more than 40 hrs/week; best suited to someone who wants to move fast and own outcomes rather than someone prioritizing work/life balance

Preferred Experience

  • 6+ years shipping high-quality features for native Android apps
  • Fluent in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, and MVVM/MVI
  • Experience building scalable, testable, enterprise-grade apps
  • Ability to move fast in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining stability
  • Bonus: custom UI component work in Compose, experience building software for hardware products (especially health/medical), or experience with health-related apps/peripherals
