Job Description:
Join an established organization that is investing heavily in modernizing its core business applications through a multi-year digital transformation. As a Senior Java Developer, you'll leverage your expertise in Java, object-oriented programming, and enterprise application development to build and enhance mission-critical software solutions. This role is ideal for a senior developer who enjoys remaining hands-on while mentoring others and contributing to architectural decisions. Prior Guidewire experience is not required—the team is looking for experienced Java developers who are excited to learn Guidewire Gosu and grow into a specialized enterprise platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and enhance enterprise software solutions using Java and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Learn and develop applications within the Guidewire platform using Gosu.
  • Participate in solution architecture and technical design discussions for enterprise initiatives.
  • Develop integrations, APIs, business rules, and workflows supporting mission-critical applications.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and fellow developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues and recommend scalable, long-term solutions.
  • Promote software engineering best practices including clean code, secure development, and performance optimization.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives supporting the organization's technology modernization efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
