Our Actuaries are on the front lines, quantifying risk, pricinginsuranceand reserving losses for AIG's major insuranceoperating companies, globally. We collaborate with Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing and Risk Management, among other functions.As an AIG actuary, you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential to help improve how we predict, manage and mitigate risk.

AIG'sSummerInterns are immersed in the day-to-day operations of a fast-moving, global insurance company.During the9-week program,you will gain valuable, hands-on experience and insurance industry knowledge,workingwith leaders on dynamic projects, withplenty ofopportunity for challenges,learningand achievement.

SummerInterns join one of ourkeybusinessteams, whichoffersa unique opportunity to obtain core technical knowledge and professional skills in a diverse environment. In addition tomeaningful on-the-job experiences,interns will join instructor-led masterclasses,hear directly from seniorleaders, and build meaningful connections through mentoring circles, networkingeventsand volunteering.

Following completion ofthe internship program, interns may be considered for a role in the location where they completed their internship, with the Analyst program beginning in July 2028.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data and apply actuarial techniques to help quantify risk, price insurance products, and support loss reserving.

  • Assistwith actuarial analyses, models, forecasts, and reports that support business and financial decisions.

  • Partner with experienced actuaries and teams across Finance, Claims, Operations, Risk Management, and other business areas.

  • Monitor trends and evaluate financial and insurance data toidentifyinsights and support recommendations.

  • Communicateactuarial findings and analyses clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Develop technical and businessexpertisewhile progressing through AIG's Actuarial Development Program and actuarial examinations.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master'sdegree to be received no later than June 2028 (unofficial transcriptrequiredupon application).

Program Requirements

  • Available for the complete Summer Internship Program from June 7 through August 6, 2027.

  • Summer Intern positions are in-person opportunities, requiring interns to work in the office at least four days per week.

Core Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Abilityto collaborate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred Majors include Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics

  • Completion of, ordemonstratedprogress toward, actuarial examinationsispreferred.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; exposure to analytical or programming tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar technologies is a plus.

  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing an actuarial career and progressing toward professional actuarial credentials.

  • Demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement.

  • Excelled inpreviouswork experience

For applicants in Colorado, Jersey City, and New YorkCitythe hourly pay range for this position is $28.64- $34.47.
