Job description

Registrar Flourish Institute of Theology

In-Person DFW Metroplex (Flexible) || Full-Time || $50,000 $65,000 annually

About Flourish Institute of Theology

Flourish Institute of Theology (FIT) is a fully virtual seminary that partners with the local church to form the next generation of pastors and church leaders. We believe future leaders learn best in the context of their home church; our nearly 80 students are adult learners who are already active ministry participants, discerning their call while staying rooted in their congregations.

We're just over four years old, growing steadily, and preparing for ATS accreditation. That means you'll have ownership and influence the systems you build now will shape how FIT operates for years to come.

The Role

The Registrar is central to how FIT runs. You'll own enrollment, registration, student records, course building, billing, admissions support, and our student information system (Populi) the operational backbone that lets students move through their programs with clarity and lets faculty walk into class prepared.

We're looking for someone who is proactive and doesn't wait to be told there's a problem. The ideal Registrar sees what stronger systems and clearer processes will be needed before FIT needs them, and then takes initiative to build them.

You'll report to the President and work closely with our Administrative Coordinator, Director of Student Services, and adjunct faculty across the institution.

What You'll Do
  • Registration & Records (30%): Manage enrollment and registration, drops, and withdrawals in Populi; maintain FERPA/ATS-compliant academic records; process grades, transcripts, and degree audits; keep registration clear and well-communicated every trimester.
  • Course Building & Faculty Support (30%): Build course shells ahead of each trimester using strong virtual pedagogy; support adjunct faculty through setup and scheduling; maintain the academic calendar.
  • Billing & Financial Administration (10%): Manage invoicing, payment tracking, and scholarship processing in coordination with our bookkeeper.
  • Admissions Support (10%): Maintain enrollment pathway data, process enrollment agreements, and help lead new student orientation.
  • Systems & Technical Support (10%): Serve as the primary Populi administrator and first-line tech support for students and faculty; keep institutional documentation current.
What We're Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in higher education administration
  • Comfort learning and administering student information systems
  • Strong organizational skills able to manage multiple concurrent processes with accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with warmth toward students at every stage of their journey
  • A demonstrated habit of spotting gaps and fixing them without being asked
  • Discretion in handling sensitive student information
  • Ability to work out of the FIT office in Irving, TX
  • Ability to travel 1-2 times per year
  • Commitment to a theological framework that is Reformed, evangelical, and egalitarian

Preferred

  • Experience with registrar functions, or a similar operational role
  • Familiarity with ATS accreditation standards and theological education
  • Experience with Populi or a similar LMS
  • Background in student billing or financial administration
  • Virtual pedagogy implementation
  • Experience building or improving administrative systems inside a growing organization
Why FIT
  • A small, mission-driven team where your work visibly matters
  • Real growth trajectory: you'll help shape systems ahead of accreditation and enrollment growth, with the role likely to grow alongside the institution
  • Compensation: Starting salary between $50,000 and $65,000 commensurate with experience and education; health insurance including dental and vision; 403(b) retirement account
