Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Professional Services Solutions Architect (SA) to join our dynamic Professional Services organization. As SA, you will have a direct impact in implementing and tailoring our Enterprise level customers with innovative and configurable solutions that span to both cloud and on-premise infrastructures. SAs will collaborate closely with key internal and external stakeholders providing fundamental knowledge of Altium Enterprise solutions that can be transferable to our customers existing environment and consequently achieving their main business goals and ongoing success. The SA will play an essential role in bridging the gaps between Sales, Professional Consulting, Software Engineering, Implementation, Customer Success and the R&D organizations.
A day in the life of our Professional Services Solutions Architect:
  • Solutions Architecture: Implementing Altium Enterprise solutions by understanding and analyzing our customers existing framework, environment, challenges, and bottlenecks of their electronics hardware development process.
  • Relationship Building: Experience building long-term, strong and successful customer relationships by demonstrating empathy, active listening, and resiliency skills.
  • Product Expertise: Provide a deep understanding of Altium's products, with knowledge of how to apply them in relevant customer contexts. Keep up-to-date on releases, features and product roadmaps.
  • Technical Guidance: Work closely with our customers to identify, prioritize and quantify key-business drivers, and provide technical expertise on process and optimizations using Altium's solutions to meet customer objectives and create value.
  • Statement of Work (SOW) Creation: Develop an agreed SOW where key tasks and deliverables are quantified for each proposed solution and effectively presented to the customer.
  • Software Engineering: Collaborate closely with software engineers to develop customized solutions to further accommodate our customers requirements.
  • R&D: Work with R&D to resolve technical gaps that have the highest impact on the customer and Altium's business.

Who We're Looking For:
  • Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent degree and experience.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in Enterprise Solutions Architecture, Customer Success, Professional Services, or a similar customer-facing strategic role. Experience with Altium's products is highly desirable.
  • Customer Growth: Proven track record of managing and growing multiple enterprise-level customers, with an ability to understand and navigate complex customer environments (e.g. integrations, workflows and business processes).
  • Subject Matter Expert: Domain expertise and work experience in PCB design or subject matter expertise in functional areas (e.g., ECAD design process, testing, PLM)
  • Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with ECAD software, PLM integrations and workflow management is essential.
  • Project Management: Ability to track and coordinate multiple efforts toward a common goal to ensure customer priorities are delivered on time and meet expectations.
  • Creative Thinker: Proposes solutions using technical knowledge and experience, building alignment and setting clear expectations with customers on the way forward.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to accurately describe technical details of customer issues and how to resolve them
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to different audiences.
  • Team Player: Build effective relationships with colleagues across Professional Services, Marketing, Sales, Support and R&D.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel, including meeting customers onsite each month.
