This role is paid on an hourly basis with a range of $33.00 - $44.00 and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws. The expected approximate annualized compensation range is $70,000 - $90,000.

Summary of the Role

We're in search of a dynamic Civil Engineering Designer who is highly motivated and results driven. As a vital member of our team, you'll have a central role in shaping and delivering a wide range of land development projects. Responsibilities

  • Apply civil engineering concepts to develop solutions to project challenges
  • Preparation of construction plans, cost estimates, reports, and other project documents
  • Coordination with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permit application
  • Preparation of grading plans, profiles, road design, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Research regulatory requirements and design standards
  • Perform detailed and complex calculations for storm water facilities, utility systems, and roadway improvements
  • Preparation of detailed technical reports and project presentation materials
  • Assist project engineers in completing projects in a timely manner and within project budgets
  • Attend project meetings


Qualifications

  • 1-5+ years of experience in site development design
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with or willingness to learn AutoCAD Civil 3D for site development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • A desire and/or ability to work in teams to accomplish shared goals
  • Self-motivated with the ability and desire to deliver excellent client service
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to identify practical uses for company-approved AI tools to improve team processes, support better decisions, and increase efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to review AI-generated content for accuracy, protect confidential information, and remain responsible for the final work product


Work Location

This is an onsite role based out of the following Core States Group offices: Roseville, CA; Bellevue, WA; Kent, WA; Richland, WA; Scottsdale, AZ; Frisco, TX; Bentonville, AR; Tampa, FL; or Philadelphia, PA.
  • We are also open to remote candidates based in Florida.
