Job Description

The Senior Salesforce Business Systems Analyst serves as a key business partner to Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, and other cross‑functional stakeholders. Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, this role is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and enhancing the company's Salesforce CRM environment while driving business process improvement initiatives. This individual combines Salesforce administration expertise with strong business analysis skills to identify operational challenges, gather and document requirements, evaluate solution options, and partner with Salesforce developers and technical resources to implement scalable CRM solutions. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, process-oriented, and capable of translating business needs into actionable system enhancements. This is not a Salesforce Developer role. Instead, the position focuses on business process analysis, stakeholder management, solution design, project leadership, and CRM administration.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Administration Serve as a primary administrator for the Salesforce platform, supporting users across Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Service, and other business functions. Manage user onboarding, offboarding, role assignments, permission sets, and access requests. Maintain Salesforce data quality, security, and governance standards. Configure and support standard Salesforce functionality including User management, Page layouts, Fields and objects, Validation rules, Approval processes, Flows, Record types. Troubleshoot user issues and coordinate resolution with technical resources as needed. Support system release activities, testing, deployment validation, and user communications. Ensure adherence to CRM governance, security, and change management processes. Business Process Analysis Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and identify process improvement opportunities. Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements‑gathering meetings across functional teams. Document current‑state and future‑state business processes. Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications and user stories. Evaluate solution alternatives and provide recommendations that align with business objectives and system capabilities. Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on CRM best practices and process optimization opportunities. Solution Design & Process Improvement Evaluate business challenges and identify opportunities to improve processes through Salesforce capabilities and automation. Collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable, sustainable solutions that align with business objectives and system architecture. Document business requirements, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications. Work closely with Salesforce developers and technical resources to ensure requirements are accurately translated into system solutions. Conduct solution reviews and recommend best practices that improve user experience, efficiency, data quality, and adoption. Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate manual processes, and improve operational effectiveness. Ensure CRM solutions support evolving business needs while maintaining system integrity and governance standards. Salesforce Enhancement & Project Delivery Act as the primary liaison between business users and Salesforce development resources. Manage enhancement requests from intake through deployment. Coordinate project activities across business teams, technical resources, and external partners. Support prioritization of Salesforce projects and enhancement initiatives. Lead or participate in requirements reviews, solution design discussions, testing, and deployment planning. Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities. Ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements and achieve intended business outcomes. Stakeholder Management Build strong working relationships with Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Marketing, and IT stakeholders. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams. Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions. Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership. Drive user adoption through training, documentation, and change management activities. Project Management & Continuous Improvement Lead or support CRM‑related projects from requirements gathering through implementation. Develop project plans, timelines, and status updates. Coordinate resources and activities across multiple stakeholders and workstreams. Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans. Drive adoption of new functionality through effective communication and training. Continuously evaluate business processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and user experience. Support long‑term CRM roadmap planning and prioritization.

Preferred Qualifications & Experiences

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Operations, or a related field. Experience supporting Salesforce CRM environments. Experience in business systems analysis, CRM administration, business process improvement, or related roles. Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional system solutions. Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Service, IT, and business stakeholders. Salesforce Administrator Certification strongly preferred. Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, technology, or other complex B2B environments preferred. Strong Salesforce administration knowledge and understanding of CRM best practices. Excellent business process analysis and requirements gathering skills. Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and solution recommendations. Strong stakeholder management and facilitation capabilities. Experience coordinating work across business teams, developers, and external implementation partners. Strong project management and organizational skills. Experience documenting process flows, business requirements, use cases, and user stories. Pay Range

Required Pay Range: $115,800.00 - $151,935.00 Pay Range Explained: This role in Sacramento, California pays between $115,800.00 and $151,935.00 per year, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations.
