Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have experience in CNC programming, setup, and machining operations, with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mill or lathe) to produce precision parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to plan machining operations.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • Ensure parts meet quality standards through inspection using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjust machine settings and tooling to ensure the highest level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to improve productivity and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Document and maintain production records, including job logs and inspection reports.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Operator, or similar role.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming (e.g., G-code, M-code) and CNC machine operation.
  • Familiarity with a range of CNC machinery (milling, lathes, etc.) and hand tools.
  • Experience with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) and quality control techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on CNC machines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical training in machining is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming tools.
  • Knowledge of advanced machining techniques and materials.
