Job description

beem Light Sauna is a boutique wellness studio offering science-backed infrared sauna and red light therapy in beautifully designed private suites. We guide members toward real, lasting wellness results, and that starts with the person they’re greeted by.
At beem, acts of service and helping others are core values. The work is genuinely meaningful: the people who walk through our doors are looking for help managing stress, pain, sleep, recovery, and energy, and you're the one who helps them find their path forward.
You're the kind of person who walks in, reads the room, and gets to work. You're confident, self-directed, and ready to contribute from day one. You love a good conversation and you're comfortable being the one who moves it forward. When a first-time guest walks through the door, you're already thinking about what membership makes sense for them. Between guests, you're turning over rooms, running laundry, and resetting — because a beautiful studio doesn't happen by accident.
Our members build real relationships with the people who know their name. We're looking for someone who'll be here long enough for that to happen.

What this role asks of you

A few things to know up front, because they're essential to the role:

  • Reliable, recurring availability, especially nights, weekends, and early mornings. Members build relationships with the people who know their name, and the team relies on each other to show up.
  • A confident, self-directed work style: you can step into a shift, take ownership, and move things forward.
  • Comfort with the physical side of the studio: cleaning, laundry, and suite resets are part of every shift alongside the sales and front-desk work.
  • Independent shift coverage, including opening and closing.
  • Comfort in brief high-heat environments (140°F+) during suite resets, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation: Pleasanton, Dublin, or Livermore area preferred.
Responsibilities:

Sales & Membership Conversion

  • Greet every first-time guest with a warm, professional welcome and lead a compelling studio tour
  • Conduct a genuine discovery conversation to understand each guest's wellness goals
  • Present memberships and packages with confidence, handle objections, and close in the moment
  • Follow up with leads via phone, text, and CRM to convert open opportunities
  • Meet studio performance targets for first-time visit conversions, upgrades, and retention
Front Desk & Member Experience
  • Open and/or close the studio with full ownership — on time, every time
  • Check in members, manage the appointment schedule, and accurately process POS transactions
  • Handle member account updates, upgrades, cancellations, and billing questions with professionalism
  • Answer calls and respond to member inquiries accurately and warmly
  • Support local outreach, community events, and authentic studio content to grow visibility
  • Flag operational or member concerns to the manager or owner promptly
Studio Operations & Suite Turnover
This is a physically active role. Our treatment rooms turn over fast and must be pristine for each guest.
  • Reset infrared sauna suites completely between every appointment: sanitize all surfaces, replace towels, reset iPad, check temperature, lighting, and amenities
  • Manage towel flow and laundry cycles continuously throughout the shift
  • Maintain spotless common areas, bathrooms, and front-of-house
  • Restock suite supplies, cleaning carts, and retail displays proactively
  • Perform routine equipment and facility checks; resolve or escalate issues before they affect the guest experience
Your background:
Required:
  • 1–2 years of customer-facing experience with measurable results in sales, hospitality, retail, beauty, healthcare, fitness, or wellness
  • Demonstrated ability to close: you can move a conversation from interest to decision naturally and confidently
  • Tech-comfortable: POS, scheduling apps, basic CRM, or similar tools
Preferred:
  • Experience in wellness, fitness, med spa, beauty services, or hospitality
  • Prior membership or recurring-revenue sales experience
  • Familiarity with Mindbody, Vagaro, or similar studio management software
What We Offer:
  • Performance incentives: bonuses, contests, and gift cards tied to studio goals, with commission opportunities to come
  • Training and ongoing development with the studio owner and management team
  • Complimentary beem® Light Sauna sessions while employed
  • Employee retail discount
  • Fitness casual dress code
  • Closed major holidays including New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
  • 401(k)
  • A small, kind team where the work you do actually matters to people's lives
