Job description

Job Overview:
The HSE Technician will support the implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental programs and policies for Primoris Energy Services operations in Sherman, TX, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Responsibilities:**
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
* Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
* Deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors, including new hire orientation, hazard recognition, and emergency procedures.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
* Prepare and maintain accurate HSE documentation, reports, and records, including incident reports, training logs, and inspection checklists.
* Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
* Assist in the management of hazardous materials and waste, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal.
* Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
* Communicate HSE information and updates to all levels of the organization.
* Promote a strong safety culture through active participation and engagement with employees.
Qualifications:**
* Associate's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
* 2-5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably within the energy, construction, or industrial sector.
* OSHA 30-hour certification for General Industry or Construction.
* Knowledge of federal, state, and local HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Ability to conduct effective training sessions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver's license and good driving record.
* Ability to perform physical tasks associated with site inspections and emergency response.
*Must be an experienced EMT or Paramedic
