Recertification Specialist

Location: Roselle, NJ
Assignment: Temporary, approximately 1–2 months
Preferred Start: 9/14, with potential to push back one week
Hours: Approximately 40 hrs/week for an experienced recertification specialist; PT may be considered if primarily assisting the Property Manager
Pay: $25/hr

Role

Seeking an experienced Recertification Specialist to qualify new residents and complete ongoing resident recertifications and lease renewals. Strong organization and attention to detail are required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete resident recertifications, lease renewals, interviews, and eligibility determinations.
  • Collect and review required documentation.
  • Calculate income, assets, and resident rent.
  • Utilize EIV and follow HUD/Section 8 requirements.
  • Maintain waiting lists and resident files.
  • Coordinate inspections and move-ins/move-outs.
  • Communicate with Housing Authorities regarding RFTA, subsidy adjustments, and contracts.
  • Maintain subsidy ledgers/corrections.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, HUD, CHFA, LIHTC, and other applicable regulations.
  • Assist with general office duties as needed.
