Job description

Company Description Self-employed insurance agents operate independent businesses, serving clients by matching them with insurance products that fit their needs and budgets. As an independent professional, you have flexibility in choosing the carriers and lines of insurance you represent, allowing you to build a portfolio that aligns with your expertise and market demand. You are responsible for developing your own client base, managing relationships, and maintaining high service standards. This environment suits individuals who value autonomy, entrepreneurial growth, and the ability to shape their own professional path.

Role Description As a full-time remote Insurance Agent, you will identify prospective clients, assess their coverage needs, and recommend appropriate insurance products. You will conduct consultations via phone, video, and digital channels, provide quotes, explain policy terms, and assist clients in completing applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a pipeline of leads, following up on inquiries, processing policy changes, and supporting clients through claims-related questions. You will maintain accurate records, stay current on industry regulations and product updates, and collaborate with carriers or brokerages as needed. The role requires ongoing business development activities such as networking, outreach, and referrals to grow your client base.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage to effectively prospect, consult, and close policies.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Insurance products and coverage options to guide clients in selecting suitable policies.
  • Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Finance to explain premiums, deductibles, and long-term financial implications of coverage.
  • Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to build trust, handle inquiries, and support clients throughout the policy lifecycle.
  • Relevant state insurance license(s) or willingness to obtain required licensing.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Comfort with remote work tools, CRM systems, and digital communication platforms.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing an independent client portfolio.
  • Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or sales is highly beneficial.
