About Body Art Alliance

Body Art Alliance (BAA) is a global house of brands powering the world of tattooing, piercing, and body jewelry. From machines and inks to jewelry trusted by artists worldwide, our products fuel creativity, craftsmanship, and self-expression.

The Body Art Alliance (BAA) is at the forefront of innovation, creating the tools and products to better serve our artists. From the first truly wireless tattoo machine, to the groundbreaking novel tattoo parlor on a cruise ship, BAA has cultivated the industry and been the “first of many.” We are dreamers, artists, creatives, innovators and pioneers, driven to propel the body art community across the world.

We’re here to elevate, empower and take our industry to the next level. Our family of brands will continue to create and oversee our innovative product lines. While we are better united, our brands will always have that special touch that makes them unique. Our new partnership will allow us to create, design and manufacture products, create best-in-class educational content that transcends, and have a direct social impact in the communities we serve.

We move fast, think big, and care deeply about our people and our customers. Operational excellence matters here, but so do culture, collaboration, and having fun while building something great.

The Body Art Alliance welcomes you home! Discover all that we offer and join our winning team.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly collaborative IT Director to lead the strategy, performance, and security of our core business systems and technology operations. This is a unique opportunity to shape the technology roadmap for a global house of brands, build a high-performing IT organization, and partner with executive leadership to drive the business forward.

If you are passionate about enterprise systems, cyber security, and building the technology backbone that professionals across our brands rely on every day, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

The IT Director is the senior technology leader for Body Art Alliance, responsible for the strategy, performance, and security of the company's core business systems and IT operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll lead a team of technology professionals and provide functional oversight of NetSuite Administration, with a resource plan that balances internal and contract support. You'll own the roadmap and vendor relationships across Office 365, NetSuite, RF Smart, Celigo, Power BI, SQL, and Snowflake, and advise on other enterprise applications like HubSpot, Klaviyo, and Shopify that support operations and commercial growth. You'll translate business priorities into technology strategy, keep systems reliable and secure across all business units, and partner with executive leadership to align technology investment with company goals.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop your team and provide functional oversight of NetSuite Administration — setting priorities, standards, and performance goals for the team.
  • Own the strategic roadmap, licensing, and vendor relationships for Office 365, NetSuite, RF Smart, Power BI, SQL, and Snowflake.
  • Advise and support the roadmap, implementation, and maintenance of HubSpot, Klaviyo, Shopify, and Celigo to enable commercial growth.
  • Ensure NetSuite, Power BI, and Snowflake are integrated to support a reliable, single source of truth for financial and operational reporting.
  • Own the organization's cyber security strategy, monitor compliance, lead incident response, and manage relationships with security vendors.
  • Partner with the CFO and executive leadership to align technology investment with business goals, including support for new office setups, expansions, and integrations.
  • Manage and optimize managed service provider (MSP) relationships, and prioritize the cross-functional IT project backlog.
  • Build and manage the IT department's structure, staffing plan, and budget.
  • Act as the executive point of escalation between IT, business units, HR, and external vendors.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including experience managing people and leading technical teams.
  • Experience administering or overseeing ERP systems, NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data platforms such as Power BI, SQL, and Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing platforms such as HubSpot and Klaviyo.
  • Demonstrated experience with cyber security practices; relevant certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP) a plus.
  • Strong project management and vendor management track record, including managing MSP relationships.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technology strategy and communicate clearly with a CFO and other executives.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be available to travel as needed to support office setups, expansions, and business unit needs.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $184,000 to $205,000, depending on experience, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Body Art Alliance offers a competitive benefits package. [Confirm benefits summary before posting.]

Other Duties

This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all duties or responsibilities required of the employee. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Equal Employment Opportunity

Body Art Alliance is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
